Purple Knights News · Eight Student-Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

St. Augustine High School football, student-athletes took the next steps toward becoming collegiate athletes by signing letters of intent during a National Signing Day ceremony on February 5.

Eight Purple Knights participated in the annual rite of passage for high school seniors, signing with seven colleges.

National Signing Day, usually the first Wednesday of February, is the first day that a high school senior can sign a binding National Letter of Intent for college sports with a school that is a member of the United States National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

Student-athletes signing letters of intent, with their college commitment, are listed below:

Taiwan Berryhill – University of Kansas
Choncee Crum – Nicholls State
Vincent Joseph – Miles College
Khi Mathieu – University of Memphis
Damon McFarland – Louisiana Tech
Jabaz Perique – Arkansas-Pine Bluff
Kendall Rowan – Lamar University
Jaheim Walters – Northwestern State University
