Five St. Augustine High School students formally announced their intent to play sports at a college or university this fall as part of National Signing Day. The annual ceremony marks the culmination of years of hard work — both in the classroom and out on the field.
St. Augustine High School President and CEO, Kenneth A. St. Charles, Ph.D., opened the ceremony with words of congratulations to the student-athletes, their families, and their coaches. “Today represents the culmination of many years of hard work and dedication from these athletes, as well as a great deal of sacrifice and support from their families, and continuous guidance and instruction from their coaches and teachers.”
Principal Sean J. Goodwin led the student-athletes as they announced their school of choice.
Five Purple Knights made commitments to play at colleges and universities across the country. They include:
Rodney Coleman: Miles College
Justice McCoy: Colorado State University
Rendon Miles-Character: Southeastern Louisiana University
Jeremiah West: University of Louisiana at Lafayette
Takulve Williams: University of Kansas
We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes at St. Augustine High School,” said Principal Sean J. Goodwin. “Their discipline, dedication, and achievement is a testament to their potential and we wish them much success in college and in their future endeavors.”
