St. Augustine High School unveiled its new Under Armour home and away uniforms for the 2015-2016 season on Friday.
Developed in collaboration with Under Armour, the new uniforms are at the forefront of design and innovation, providing players with a blend of style and performance technology.
Inspired by Tradition
Inspired by the Purple Knight team uniforms from the 1970s through the 1990s, the new look is a nod to each generation. The new Under Armour jerseys have a tighter look and the numbers are more crisp.
“They have a look that appeals to all of our fans, from future Purple Knights playing Pop Warner football to our alumni, and there are components that pay homage to our community, show respect for our past, and honor the proud tradition of St. Augustine High School. We want our team and fans to be proud and create more enthusiasm for Purple Knight Football,” St. Augustine Athletic Director Marcus Delarge said.
Jamboree set for August 29
St. Augustine will debut the new uniforms on Saturday, August 29, when the Purple Knights take on Edna Karr in a Jamboree game at Tad Gormley Stadium at 7:30pm.
“It is an exciting time for Purple Knight football, and we look forward to a sharp new look that honors our great athletic tradition,” said St. Augustine Head Football CoachAl Jones. “This new look will add to the pride and excitement of our players. Continuing our tradition and legacy is what we’re about.”
