The New Orleans Saints have announced the recipient of the High School Coach of the Week award. St. Augustine High School Head Coach Al Jones received the honor after a strong performance by his team this past week.

The New Orleans Saints Coach of the Week program is a weekly award recognizing local high school football coaches who are making a positive impact on their teams, school, and community through hard work and dedication to their young athletes. Coach Al Jones was recognized with a certificate, a feature on the New Orleans Saints website, and a $1,000 check presented to the St. Augustine High School football program.

At the conclusion of the program, each of the 12 Coach of the Week award-recipients and a guest are invited to attend a culminating dinner with Saints personnel. The Coach of the Week award winner will also receive a one-of-a-kind certificate signed by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Saints Head Coach Sean Payton, New Orleans Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis and New Orleans Saints Owner Tom Benson.

The goal of the program is to showcase and recognize high school football coaches, the impact they have on the lives of their athletes and their communities.
